I bought mine at Best Buy for ~$300.  I'm sure you can find it for much
cheaper ( a quick google search shows:

Of course!  The cd->md is purely digital.  I'm the same way, none of my
recorings are analogue - the cd->md copy is essentially the only reason
I bought the deck (although, now that I have my rm-d20p kb remote I'm even
more happy with it)

Some analogue recordings I've made sounded alright, but still don't compare
to digital.  Bleh =P
