Kind of reminds me of sysprep hanging with a capture TS in MDT 2010. It needed the foreground window but couldn't keep it for some reason. The fix was to literally grab the LiteTouch window and shake it around with your mouse.

Changing the install order cleared it up for whatever bizarre reason. I feel like it was in the Optiplex 960 or 980 timeframe Sorry, I can't help with the details as it was a long time ago. I feel like it may have been solved by a BIOS update, but it is a hazy memory. Anyway, misery loves company. In what OS is this happening? WinPE or the Full OS? What Version? Just how *old* (or new) is this Optiplex? What drivers are you using? What happens if the user uses the keyboard instead? Alt-Tab over and over? Can you narrow down to a Network or a storage problem? Can you download anything else in the background? (F8) Can you reproduce it on a different machine? If it only happens on one machine, I would send the machine back for service and/or recycle. On one machine the task sequence hangs and doesn't appear to be doing anything unless the mouse moves. In the video the tech took it is downloading the MDT files package for the "Use Toolkit Package" step. The download progress sits stationary until the mouse is moved and as long as the mouse continues moving the download progress continues. As soon as they stop moving the mouse the download progress stops dead in its tracks. It's a Dell Optiplex machine with a Dell mouse and Dell keyboard. They've tried plugging them into different USB ports and even tried unplugging them all together. (I hope the video attachment comes through.) Has anyone else seen this before? It's one machine, but it's one of those things where you just want to know what is going on.
