If you're concerned with different spellings, you might consider creating a style guide. Using a style guide is a good practice anyway.
I'll admit it's a low-tech solution, but if your users do actually use it, then it really will be more effective than a good spellchecker. The Wikipedia Manual of Style (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style) might be a good starting place. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tech Geek Sent: Friday, September 03, 2010 2:31 PM To: MediaWiki announcements and site admin list Subject: Re: [Mediawiki-l] Decent Spellcheck for mediawiki? Yes you are right. However, I would really prefer to have a common solution for all the users. Different users will use different browsers and hence we might end up having 4 to 5 different spellcheckers being used by the users which could really mean a lot of support requests. _______________________________________________ MediaWiki-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/mediawiki-l
