Hello everyone. We are a Magic 5.4 site and have been using DPT for our health
record transcription since October. We are currently in the process of trying
to set up our transcriptionists so they can work from home. They will come in
to a VPN connection via their high speed internet connection at home. We've had
reports that when they are typing in DPT (they type directly in DPT * don't use
the rich text editor) , there is a noticeable delay *they are typing ahead of
the screen display. This also means that when they backspace out a word, the
cursor often ends up deleting letters in the previous word. This wouldn't be
such a problem for an average speed typist, but for the transcriptionists it
is. There is no delay at all when they work on site.

Has anyone else ever experienced this type of thing? I don't know that it's
limited to DPT * one of our network techs said that when he's in Meditech from
home the response can be a bit jerky.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Nancy
