Correct me if I'm wrong but..... That device name is attached to a device defined in Meditech. This device is then attached to a remote host also defined in Meditech. This remote host is then attached to an IP address which is defined in your network. The IP address is then linked to a PC. If your network assigns static IP addresses, then the device name will never change. If the PC somehow is assigned a different IP address, then the device name will change. Laptops and cart devices are notorious for picking up a different IP whenever its turned on (I believe it's called DHCP protocol). I would check with your network guys. This is not a Meditech issue. This problem has occurred in the past where the IT guys assured me that they did not change anything manually. I gave them the benefit of the doubt then. Last week it happened again which I reported to MEDITECH. They told me that they never heard this problem before and was advised to wait till it happens again.
