Pat: Your not missing anything, it is a problem. I believe Tara is using a custom report that bar codes the name or Visit # of each patient the nurse/therapist needs to add to their list, so with a hand held scanner, you could quickly load your list of patients, including the enter keys and F12 keys via bar codes/scanning. This does speed the process up a lot, but it is till not ideal. I have put together some ideas that I am sending to MT to let them know what I think could allow the status brd to be used housewide in non nursing/clinical areas, including PHA,RT,Rehab, ADM, Outpt ADM, etc... One thing I would suggest is to give the users the option of loading their list by custom report (RT WorkList) and or by query (CONSULT=YES) or (RT TREATMENT=YES). I have heard that MT is enhancing the status board to allow outpts to be loaded if they are registered or pre registered to that location. I do have a script for our dialysis unit to script names into the handheld list from scheduled appointments but don't want to go down that road with all.
