We have the nursing staff use the Enter Med routine in Meditech for all orders that they need to give when pharmacy is not here. When pharmacy arrives in the morning, we verify these orders. This does cause excess work for the morning staff, as they need to acknowledge these orders before they can pass meds. We are currently in the process in looking into a Virtual Pharmacy to enter orders for us during the hours of 2000-0630. I highly recommend investigating this before moving live with eMAR. Alison D.
