Good Morning Phyllis and crew,
We have the Patient Order Summary print each night (by humans in the Data
Center) to each patient location. That becomes the order of record as the
e-signature is captured there as well. The POM Order Sheets are then purged
out of the record. At this time, we still have a paper chart but are trying to
move away from that in the next ?? years.
We are also in the process of putting up the DR so I am not certain how that
will affect what we need to print and store. That is being evaluated as the DR
is put into place.
Hope this helps.

For those of you who are live with POM and physician ordering
online, are you saving the POM order sheet as part of the paper chart
(along with the non-automated written orders). Also, what are you doing
with docuentation for Medicare of the MD signature of these orders? ITS
has a statement on reports that says it has been electronically signed
by the MD. The POM order sheet does not. Any input would be greatly
appreciated.
