Hi Karen- I guess the obvious question is why are they writing it twice? If the Pharmacy closes at 7pm then that is the "official MAR" until the next day or print. A couple possibilities: 1. when the pharmacy puts the orders in the system in the morning they could print a MAR, but I don't like that because you now have two MAR's floating around...or 2. Have a "blank MAR" format that nursing can print on admission so they have a form that looks and smells like the real McCoy...header, trailer, and everything. Best of luck - Kevin. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== HELLO ALL, I have a couple of quick questions for anyone who has implemented the printed MAR. Are you a 24 hour pharmacy? If you are not, how did you handle it when you had a new admission after the Pharmacy was closed. We have our MAR printed out at midnight and if we have an admission at 8pm They have to write everything and then when it prints at midnight they have To write it again. They are not very happy to say the least. If anyone could help out with this we would greatly appreciate it.
