Karen when I set up a site with the cMAR I always add 3 features
1. When the batch MARs print if the patient has no active orders,
instead of getting a MAR with just the patient header and a line that
says "No Active Meds" they get a page with boxes to write in new meds if
necessary before the next print.

2. When a new patient is admitted after pharmacy hours they can print a
page of blank boxes for each section (SCH, PRN , Etc). This also works
for when they need a extra page between prints due to a lot of new
orders

3. A downtime MAR with boxes for the Pt Data as well as the med data,
which they print in advance and stote for unplanned downtime.

Hope this helps,

Terry

HELLO ALL,
I have a couple of quick questions for anyone who has implemented the
printed MAR.
Are you a 24 hour pharmacy?
If you are not, how did you handle it when you had a new admission
after the Pharmacy was closed.
We have our MAR printed out at midnight and if we have an admission at
8pm They have to write everything and then when it prints at midnight
they have To write it again. They are not very happy to say the least.
If anyone could help out with this we would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
