We
are implementing NUR in late October.
According to hospital policy, LPN's cannot create the initial nursing
care plan (problem list). In the "paper world", the LPN does the first couple
pages of the inpt database and an RN completes the "physical assessment"
portion and creates the initial problem list.
Any
creative ways around this in the "automated world"..
We
have created query links to add problems to the plan of care, however if the LPN
answers "Yes", her/his initials are associated with initiating that
problem.
Advice is greatly appreciated.
