Hello,
Our hospital uses Meditech CS and the Pyxis dispensing system. I am not
aware of
a way for pharmacy to setup drugs to be pulled from pyxis on pre-in
patients. I am talking about patients that have not been registered as of
yet. My understanding is that in order for pharmacy to put in drug orders
for patients they have to be in a registered. Since the pre-in patients
don't have a
location we can not put in the drug orders. How are other facilities
handling this situation?
Any advice would be wonderful.
