Hi Carole, If you are not documenting in eMAR - you want to consider how you are setting the default for overdue meds. I would recommend setting the overdue med default time frame to 0 hours and then set a default of <x> number of hours for future meds. This way - the users will then only see medications that are due in the future. The flag is displaying accurate information. (Whereas if you had it displaying for overdue meds - the med may not really be overdue but the system does know that) If flags are displaying for meds that had already been administered - my concern is that the end user would become complacent and tend to ignore them. The users can change the time frame on the fly if they do want to see for example all the meds that were due in the past <x> number of hours. I have not seen any issues with slower loading times after adding the med alerts. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Hello, We are just getting started with building a Status Board in TEST in preparation for implementing this feature on our Nursing Units. Today, Meditech set our PHA parameter ?Use Nursing Status Board? to ?Y??.in order to allow the link between NUR and PHA for medication data. I added a column for ?Next Medication Due? to this TEST SB. We are NOT live with eMAR as yet. The ?Next Med Due? data does pull onto the Status Board, but we now have a very slow loading & refresh time for the SB. Also, I am wondering if this data will load accurately w/o the use of eMAR?? The system would never receive any info re: med administration. I am looking for a little education as to the functionality of SB with PHA when eMAR is not active? Also, if any of you have experienced slow loading/refresh times with SB?can you offer any insight as to how to correct this? Any information will be appreciated. Thanks!
