Earlier this year we underwent JCAHO survey….Our Surveyor asked if we used cow for computer on wheels, we did not because we were just getting carts… There is a hospital that he knew of where a patient sued and won a large settlement because this discussion happened outside their door….
Physician: “GET THIS DAMN COW OUT OF HERE ! The patient was distraught because she was a little overweight and was able to collect on pain and suffering and so on and so on……. Imagine you are the patient and overhear the Dr saying this; Most people would take offense to being referred to as a cow….
We immediately educated that we had “RAC’s” …….Roll Around Computers……………
