We are live with BMV. We actually use a combination of pyxis and Enter med. Any med that can be obtained from Pyxis is to come from pyxis so the order goes on the Emar. We still have a paper profile (handwritten) so they are to pencil in those after hour pharmacy orders as well as the times due to communicate to the following shifts until pharmacy can enter the orders. Then they are to be erased. If the med isn't in pyxis and the supervisor has to get it, then the nurse would scan the med. When he/she gets prompted that the med isn't on the Emar, does he/she want to enter, he/she would go through the enter med prompts. It seemed to work best in the work flow. The nurse didn't have to think about which meds were from pyxis and which were from the supervisor.
