Deborah: We audit our DR regularly using Blue Elm's DR Auditor. There are many tables that are consistently perfect, for example timecards and ICD9's back to 1985. The key tables for B/AR visits, financial summary information, charges, and colletion transactions are consistently very accurate. We have had occasionl hiccups, but they are trivial. For example, we had slow transmissions of charges during monthend sometime ago. In general, most of the data is very reliable. Sometimes a table will have just one field that is questionable. More often than not, those fields are ones we are not concerned with. When problems are brought to Meditech's attention, they are cooperative about following up and fixing them. So, the short answer is yes. We are confident that the data in DR is accurate enough and timely enough for any meaningful application. Ever since our upgrade to 5.4 (client server), our DR has been full of holes and errors. I could never rely on the DR data enough to use it in that manner.
