Thanks to all who responded to my plea.  I have it working as initially requested (thanks, Kenny Whiteside), and have some food for thought about changing the location of the BMI query (thanks Daniel Davis).

Hi,

We use an attribute to convert patient's weight to BMI.  On the same CDS, we have a series of queries to trigger a DVT protocol, which includes the BMI.  We have a DFT attribute on the 2nd BMI query to pull in the previously calculated BMI.  Work fine....UNLESS....someone changes the weight value.

Is there a way to default the response from the 1st query into the 2nd query, AND update it if changed on the 1st query (same CDS)?

TIA.
