Hi, Me again.
Just wondering what others are doing to alert nursing of a med to be administered at/before discharge. Meds like the flu vaccine are ordered usually upon admission by the physician as "give before discharge". If a patient has a fever and cannot receive it upon admission (or when it prints on the MAR) and is in-house a week or so, how does nursing remember to give the med? We do not have NUR module. Meds are ordered thru pharmacy and dispensed out of pyxis (profile). Any thoughts or work arounds. Diane
