We have a physician who has two very different roles within our organization.
First, she is a credentialed staff physician with her own private practice. Second, she is a contracted physician for our ED through an outside company. This has created a mess for her practice staff as they try to determine which patients in PCI are really theirs as opposed to patients she has seen in the ED. Has anyone else dealt with this situation before? If so, how did you resolve it? So far, the only thing I can see that will make things better for her & her staff is to create two entries for her in the provider dictionary, which we're not sure we want to do.
