We are currently live with eMAR in our inpatient units. I would like to
know what people are doing in outpatient departments. Specifically, what
are you doing in Ambulatory Care units and Same Day Surgery units? Our
patients in these units usually stay no longer than 3 hours. Pharmacy can
take up to 2 hours to enter orders. This would result in a delay for those
medications being available for these patients. Unless our Pyxis machines
are on override, the patient could be waiting to receive medications for an
unreasonable amt of time.

Thanks for your help.
