I would say report to IT. You lose that connection with them when they
are out of IT to work with the others in IT. We tried it out of IT for
pharmacy analyst and it is a big regret. Our new Clinical Informatics
position will report to IT not nursing but still have close
communications with nursing.

In a small hospital that only has one Clinical Analyst......could that
Clinical Analyst (that is in charge of the NUR, OE, PCI and NPR modules)
report to the Nursing Department.....or....do they need to be in the IT
Department?
