There is no need for line checks, and I have all our label formats
printing on Datamax I 4208 printers. I will attach a copy of one of our
labels. Kevin's suggestion to make sure the thermal format is set up on
page 2 of the order type dictionary is a good one. You need two formats
of all your labels - one thermal and one not. The only difference
should be the THERMAL YES footnote.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] {Spam?} Datamax I Class label printer for PHA

I am trying to set up 2 Datamax I class label printers for MED and IV in
the pharmacy. The labels are generated out of npr reports. There is no
sign of life when trying to send a job to any of the printers. I am
aware of the THERMAL YES in the footnote section of the npr. I know the
printer is on the network and working. Sending a Windows testpage to it,
and it prints fine.
I am using the paralell port on the printer, hooked up to a
printerserver on the network. OPS printer setup is set to port 9100 and
FARGO driver.
I heard somewhere that you have to insert LC commands in the NPR report
in order to get a Datamax to work at all. I don't know if this is the
case or not. Anyone else had this problem?
