We have locked records all the time because providers who elect sign
sometimes boot or turn 
Their pcs off in the middle of signing . This locks the documents and we
have to call MEDITECH . 
They do resolve themselves after 3 hours if that helps at all. We are
Client Server version 
5.5 sr 2 . We have never been able to clear our own locks either per
MEDITECH.

Are any other sites experiencing issues with locked records when using 
BMV/eMAR?  I believe it is most likely occurring after an abnormal 
termination of the session.  We have had a couple of episodes this week 
and Meditech states that only they can unlock the record. 

This is not a good situation - especially in the middle of the night.  I

think there should be a way that the lock can be released by the
hospital 
IT staff to reduce the time it takes to get the issue fixed. 

Has anyone else encountered this  and if so - do you know if there have 
been any requests out to Meditech to provide this functionality?
