Hello Deborah,

I have created a piece of pain documentation and attached it to each
analgesic. It is a PHA NUR MAR type CDS and is attached on page 4 of
the PHA Drug Dictionary on the NUR CDS field. The only drawback is that
it must be added to all analgesics that are used for pain (from Tylenol
to scheduled narcs). I just requested a list from our Pharmacy and they
quickly provided a list for me.

Initially there was a syntax error in the PHA NUR MAR that Meditech
programming had to fix. Every time I would try to file my
documentation, I would get kicked to Goodbye. Once it was repaired and
loaded into TEST, I tested it and it works well. The only thing I will
warn you about is that CDS type does not cross over to the NUR module.
But you can see it in PCI under the Pain Assessment heading.

Hope that helps,

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] eMAR documentation

Has anyone managed to use a pop up cds in eMAR when documenting
administration of pain meds? If so, could you please share?
