I am currently mapping EMR ID's for our 2000+ drug formulary, so the meds will
display in Clinical Review.

We use FDB formulary update service. And there are thousands of drug entries
(30-40,000??). Do I need to map all of these meds for
patients home meds to display from RXM? If so, any ideas on how to speed up
the process?

thanks, Bill

I just wanted to remind everyone why this is being done. This "enhancement"
will allow Nursing to pick any drug from the Home Medication function in EDM to
allow for interaction/allergy checking on the inpatient side. Yes, this may
not be the best but at least we have to be amazed that Meditech took it to this
step.

As far as size, FirstDataBank only includes active NDCs and inactive NDCs
inactivated less than 3 years ago. This makes for smaller files. It would be
nice if Meditech would screen the other vendors to something like that.

Just my 2 cents.

Would you please expand on the RXM and PHA limitations in 5.61. We haven't
taken delivery of 5.6 yet but we are in the process of implementing RXM and I'd
like to get a look into the future. Thanks.

I would be interested in this information also. We had planned on going live,
but the changes to RXM and PHA stopped us in our tracks. We have accepted the
limitations and are now ready to reschedule a go live.
