Location, Location, Location, We have separate locations for every Location that needs results in LAB. Using two provider mnemonics has been done but I would think you would not want to do that. ...... Actually Meditech does have a KB article in the Knowledge base discouraging such a practice.
Unfortunately we do not use the same practice for other modules... and they wonder why they can't get stats by location from those modules since there is no info differentiating where the pt is at. We have Rehab pts in 5 different sites but they are all registered to PT or OT or SPT. The pt might live near one location but decide to go to another... we have no way of knowing which location the pt is going to by way of documentation or registration. Same problem with RAD... can't route reports to the right pt location as the provider practices in a couple but there is no way to know which office the pt went to. If we had locations we would at least know where to send it. I recommend you register by office location.
