>The dictator says it is done, but the majority want to use deb. Don't
give up on this, if meego truly is going to be open then it has to switch to
deb .... That is what the community wishes.

What are you base that on!?!? As a community member and linux user for over
ten years I really dont get the point about why it is so important that
package manager must be Debian!?

So sick and tired reading this mailinglist when most of the disscussion is a
religious war between RPM vs DEB.

This endless discussion is totally pointless and doesnt drive community
forward!!! Please stop winning about this stupid issue!
If u dont like this decision develop for Iphone, WInMobile or Android if
thats seems better!!!

To mee Meego/Maemo is the most open community so far. But if the community
must cry like kids every decision Intel and Nokia decides then for sure
Meego will die in favor of other OS:es where companys has more control of
the core API; Android(Google), WinMobile(Microsoft) and Iphone(Apple) that
is.

Its about give and take. You cant get 100% OSS and freedom in every decision
companys do thats a fact. But Meego/Maemo atleast gives us "as mush as
possible".
