Thanks for your comments Roger. This is the Nokia proposal that I've mentioned. The patch is already in Fennec but only the builtin flash plugin in N900 can support that rendering model. As we've mentioned, it has a few issues: a) It needs changes from plugin side to support the new NPAPI extension. b) it still does not support PDF/Java plugins. c) The performance of shared memory solution can not compare to native rendering. d) It is not OOPP friendly. Thus the native rendering model is proposed to work out these issues.
