Thanks, this was the good instruction.
The pykickstart Makefile use a undefined $(DESTDIR) variable that seem
to eat the root slash of the destination directory, so the python
scripts are installed in the current directory instead of into the
system path.
So, as I say before, this bug show a big lack in the quality of the
packages used by Meego, in this case pykickstart that obviously have
never been tested on Debian Lenny (stable).
Hope the situation will improve quickly.
Back to the image creator, I now get this:
cube:/home/jcdr/try/meego# moblin-image-creator
--config=meego-preview-netbook-core.ks --format=livecd --cache=mycache
[main]
use_comps=1
default_ks=default.ks
cachedir=/var/tmp/cache
distro_name=MeeGo
image_format=livecd
tmpdir=/var/tmp

MeeGo release 1.0
Error: failed to create image : Needed file: /usr/bin/isohybrid not

Hum. Either Meego should explicitly REQUIRE Fedora distribution and stop
claiming supporting every distribution out there, OR should take a
serious look on how making quality policy and testing (like Debian do).
