I read meego-dev as a digest. When users respond to earlier posts and
blithely include the entire thread prior to their reply, I end up wading
through tremendous amounts of repeated material.

I guess if you receive each post individually, your mail program collapses
the quoted material. Not in the digest though. Every line appears and has to
be scrolled through.

Please, include the lines you want to respond to and _delete the rest_.

In the digest that arrived a little while ago, there were but 66 lines of
meaningful content (including signatures and blank lines between paragraphs)
out of 315 total lines. Unnecessarily quoted lines  constituted twice that
amount. (The remainder was boilerplate and message information inserted by
the Mailman program.)

When only 20 percent of a message is new content, it makes for a lot of
wasted time on a lot of people's part.
