You're contradicting yourself here. Nothing is being developed twice. Pre-existing, upstream software (such as Chromium and Banshee) is being reused inside MeeGo *as opposed to* developing it twice by either writing something from scratch or migrating existing software for no compelling reason, except religious satisfaction.
