Hi,

There were those in the Maemo community who tried to explain how well
we coped with a large influx of users in one go; and the problems
caused by disparate communication methods.

The MeeGo community is exactly as I remember the Maemo communituy in
2005. But we've just had something equivalent to the N800 launch :-/

We need to be more agile and learn from the past. Growing a new
community is fine, but let's not throw the baby out with the
bathwater.

Things we need to do ASAP:

  * Forum/email linking. Start with getting every reply, to a subscribed thread.
  * Social news integrated into the meego.com frontpage so it captures
articles of interest to all facets of the community.
  * Reach out to bloggers syndicated on maemo.org's Planet and ask them,
individually, if they have a MeeGo feed.

Most of these should be achievable in a couple of weeks, I think.

Cheers,

Andrew
