Indeed, meego.com's had a facelift since I was last capable of looking. Who
should be talked to about the design?

Once what "place is set up"? Taking an approach of "they'll come to us" isn't
particularly enlightened, given sending an email doesn't take hours of work.

Nice, thanks.

Indeed. However, no-one's explained why sending out emails is so processor
intensive, nor when the "new servers" will be available.

We're already falling into the maemo.org trap of making everything dependent on
"new servers". Is the transition plan on the wiki somewhere? is the source code
for the forum<->email bridge online (it is very much an email interface to the
forum, bearing little resemblance to a mailing list)?

[Snip obvious description of "how to set up a server"]

If turning on the forum<->email bridge requires new servers, what about just
having an option for "send me every reply when it gets posted, not just the
first reply until I visit forum.meego.com again"? *This* is what I said should
be achievable in a couple of weeks.

Anyway, I'm going back to being disconnected, it's far less of a headache, and
the last thing we need is another forum/ML thread on -dev.

Regards,

Andrew
