You should be using qemu-system-arm since that is the QEMU binary that emulates 
ARM. 
You should be using the version of QEMU that is mentioned in 
http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/Meego_on_Qemu since the N900 emulation features may 
not have been integrated into the mainstream version yet.
