It's not in the command line, but "xdpyinfo" told me that it's on. To be
sure I've added "+extension composite" to the startmeego-debug script.
The result is the same. Total darkness :)

I tried Qt, Gtk, Xlib apps. All with the same result. Didn't try a self
compiled MeeGoTouch app yet.

What I also tried is this: Instead of using the Xephyr that is started
by startmeego-debug, I've started a Xephyr outside of the changeroot and
used that. It's much slower (exected) and the result looks like if I
manually kill "mdecorator". So it's not black anymore, but still not
usable.

My experiments today are based on the daily repositories.

Anything else I can try?
