This is evil and broken and should be fixed, I agree.
FWIW I've "fixed" Evolution now so that it will:
1. Warn the user when a bogus Reply-To: header is tricking them
into replying to the list when they asked for a private reply.
2. Give an option of *always* ignoring such abusive Reply-To: headers.
I may see if I can sneak those fixes into MeeGo :)
