I find that annoying sometimes, but nowhere *near* as annoying as when
someone does me the discourtesy of dropping me from Cc so I miss the
rest of the conversation entirely.

On the whole the latter failure mode is much worse. I suggest that you
always err on the side of *inclusion* rather than exclusion, if you
don't know the preferences (and subscriptions) of the user(s) you're
replying to.
