Absolutely. > For example, one would not want to mix the work events with the > personal and expect them to endup in google server. > > So, choosing just 1 calendar to sync at a time is reasonable. However, Google allows me to have multiple calendars, and I separate them there (personal, family and, possibly, work). By only having a single calendar syncable, I can only have one of my calendars on my N900. So, the only workaround I can have is to use a service like nuevasync.com to merge all my Google Calendars into a single one for syncing it down to my N900. The calendar app on the N900 is very good, as is the provision of multiple calendars. The assumption that most users will be happy syncing a single calendar is, however, very wrong (see also the multitude of threads on tmo about attempts to sync multiple calendars, most of them falling back on SyncEvolution!) The same principle which means I want to separate and colour code my calendars on the device is EXACTLY applicable to me wanting to separate and colour code my calendars on the upstream service (which I can then share with my wife, etc.) Cheers, Andrew -- Andrew Flegg -- mailto:[email protected] | http://www.bleb.org/ Maemo Community Council chair _______________________________________________ MeeGo-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-dev
