Well in my case I would like to supply an -rt kernel 
(PREEMPT_RT) with the device (intended for audio).  Right 
now, with the .35 kernel I should be able to patch it, so... 
ok.

But if MeeGo goes to an even-numbered kernel, or the -rt 
patch tarries, I'm in trouble.  (They don't make -rt patches 
for even-numbered kernels.)

LSB says /opt is for "add-on" packages, but LSB allows 
installation to /usr for regular packages.  If I'm an ODM, I 
would be inclined to package my shipped-with-the-device 
packages /usr so that ld.so will find the libs.
