I think if with out touch screen, I think keyboard and mouse are need,
but currently I have not got the ui, so i haven't thought so far...
BTW, I now trying to follow your steps, I will do these steps,
1. use "2.6-stable-devkit8000"'s build_kernel script to download,
extract the kernel source, and apply the patches.
2. replace the borad-devkit8000.c id.c id.h 3 fiiles.
3. comment
# dl_kernel
# extract_kernel
# patch_kernel
in build_kernel script
4. use this build_script to build the kernel and the module.
Is that OK?
