Hello, As Auke said, N900 tech spec would practically be the lowest for usable MeeGo experience.
That is not so bad, knowing that it is already one year old device and based on bit older hw. We have still some unused tricks to make it bit faster and usable, but the good reference to todays development situation can be seen on MeeGo Handset UX on a N900 (w/ TRG, gPodder UI test, HW-accelerated) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWtMLs3j09U Br, //Harri ________________________________________ From: [email protected] [[email protected]] On Behalf Of ext Auke Kok [[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 11, 2010 7:30 PM To: ssrk Cc: Development for the MeeGo Project (discussion list) Subject: Re: [MeeGo-dev] Minimal RAM requirements for MeeGo-Handset UX On 10/11/2010 3:24 AM, ssrk wrote: > Hi, > > To Run MeeGo-Handset UX image on a device, what is the minimum RAM required? This is very hard to say since it depends on the hardware used, what your demands are etc. Some hardware reserves more memory for gfx, firmware etc. Apart from that, I believe the n900 only has 256mb, and there are several videos around demonstrating how well it runs. 512mb seems to be quite enough. I doubt 128mb will provide a pleasant experience... Does this answer your question?
