What about the input stack? What will handle input events?
The idea is to use kernel evdev (which does a lot already), a mini
userspace evdev for a minimal processing (e.g. compositor/evdev.c in
demo compositor) and forward them all for a framework specific
application like Maliit, which the guys were talking. Apart from that,
libxkcommon can be used for general key symbols mapping and udev for
hotplugging.
Second thing: What about X11 compatibility?
xwayland that krh and iksaif are prototyping, which is a hosted X11
server for wayland.
But really, these questions are mostly Wayland specific questions and
not just MeeGo, therefore we could address in #wayland or its
development mailing list.
