Hi,
Yet again, I see that the patches to tracker are integrated to MeeGo1.2
without discussing with the developers or even notifying the maintainers.
Tracker is maintained in devel:contentfw.
In particular,
http://build.meego.com/package/view_file?file=tracker.changes&package=tracker&project=MeeGo%3A1.2%3Aoss&srcmd5=fdc04640e591b56eb225259df767f9d7
the changelog shows BOO#9769. I do not see this bug in
https://bugs.meego.com with respect to tracker.
Previously, patch 0007-Fix-USB-disk-not-recognized-as-removable.patch
<http://build.meego.com/package/view_file?file=0007-Fix-USB-disk-not-recognized-as-removable.patch&package=tracker&project=MeeGo%3A1.2%3Aoss&srcmd5=fdc04640e591b56eb225259df767f9d7>
was integrated without informing us and has triggered a lot of
discussions in https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=19353 and
https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=21522 and it was found that this
patch was absolutely unnecessary.
So, can we work the open source way and have discussions before
integrating patches to tracker?
Developers can be contacted by sending a mail to the tracker mailing
lists([email protected]) or even chat on IRC or even by raising
bugs in https://bugs.meego.com.

Maitrey
