Dear users,

I would like to obtain a better understanding of the Gaussian source
function used in MEEP, so I have some simple questions concerning the
equation for the Gaussian source presented in the online reference
manual.

(1) The equation as written is not set equal anything. Is it actually
equal to the complex value of the field or current component used as
the source, e.g., Jz?

(2) Is "Omega" equal to 2*pi*(center frequency)?

(3) When considering the "Cutoff" parameter, are the widths in terms of
time (1/fwidth) = "width"?

I am trying to plot my Gaussian function, so I need to ensure that I
comprehend MEEP's input in light of the referenced Gaussian equation.

Thanks very much.

Doug Nance
