I have recently moved over from WA where I must say that it appears that to
licence a modified 1600 in Sydney may prove difficult.
With respect to an engineers report, is this a requirement for all modified
aspirated - turbo conversions. In WA you write away for the permits
detailing the cars modifications, which are subsequently approved by the
second hand mechanics at the RTA at the time of licensing. You wind down
the boost, trim the spark a little and they tend to wonder why you went to
all this trouble.
In addition I am seeking advice in relation to a reputable rolling road dyno
that caters for Motec Fuel Injection in the Sydney area. We only had a few
sites in Perth with the rest of them cowboys.
Regards
Jim
