Matt,
Glad we can help, I agree the lists are quite different - one has to be very
careful with the "other list" as their strict rules with 1 administrator and
around 99 assistants ready to pounce put them behind the 8 ball imho but they are
a great bunch of datto enthusiasts and still worth a read for the variety.

You mention the clutch return spring and i can say it here without getting to
much argument that we favour the clutch lever out of the more modern day
gearboxes that don't use the spring as they are a pain in the butt. Say you use
for argument sake a Skyline L6 box, we would use the whole clutch (& flywheel on
the L20B engine) that belongs to the Skyline. If you use a standard bore 510
clutch master cylinder (5/8"), when used with some gearboxes (e.g. A10/710
doglegs) you have to shorten the non-adjustable bar slightly to your favourite
position as it tends to be a tad long and the clutch engages too far off the
floor for my liking. There is no general specification as such as like most
adjustable parts each driver prefers a certain feel.
