well I have just a B cam with no number stamped after the
letter
what I'm wondering is whether upgrading to an A stamped cam
would make a noticeable difference
Peter/David, There is sometimes a number after
the the letter e.g. B2 which is a hotter cam based on the original B grind.
The numbers on the A & C cams don't necessarily correlate with the B cam.
L18/L18W/L1889W Japanese engines: B=8.5:1, Single carb B1=8:5:1,
twin Hitachi B2=9.5:1, twin Hitachi B3=10.5:1, twin Mikuni
The L18 series are the only engines that I have collected this data on as
they were our chioce of the day (74 - 79 ; 610/710)
