Michael,
I make up a 4 mm flat steel strap to fit on the steering box bolt closest
to the inner guard. Plate the wheel well side of the inner guard with a
piece of approximately 75mm x 75mm x 2 mm sheet as reinforcing with the
plate centred as close as possible to the where the strap will make contact
at the closest point. Mark up and drill a hole through the reinforcing and
then fit the steel strap. It makes a big difference!
Cheers
Feral Errol
