Yer I did check out that 1600 at Winton - not bad.  And yes, it was
VERY VERY cold as a spectator.

Perhaps I wasn't to clear.  I was referring to using a Z18 or Z20 oil pump.  
Are they different to a L series one ??? Or is there an alternative pump ??

I�m not limited to the size of my engine as it�s only for driving on the 
road (at this stage).  I�m not sure if I�m going to use a Jap block because 
the only one I have is currently in my car. If I don�t then I�ll just go 40 
thou over.

I�ll be running injection (hopefully).

Another question, what clearances should be run between the piston and the 
flat �squish� area on the peanut shaped cylinder heads ?  Or even with zero 
deck height does it matter - as the head gasket would provide sufficient 
clearance ?
