G'day list, just wanted to run this past you.
I got myself a new tacho the other day and hooked her up. She
works O.K. with the guage moving smoothly up the rpm range to about 3,700
rpm. Then the needle starts to "float", for want of a better word,
bouncing up and down from the rpms the motor is actually doing.
During hard acceleration, once the dial gets to 4,500 rpms it suddenly
swings hard around to 6,500 rpm, although the motor hasn't gathered those rpms
yet. Any idea of the cause ?
Cheers,
Wardy
